Privacy policy

This policy explains how Infutrix Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("Infutrix", "GradeSmith", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the gradesmith.ai website and the GradeSmith exam evaluation platform. It applies to visitors to this website and to the institutions, examiners, and evaluators who use GradeSmith under an agreement with us.

GradeSmith is deployed after an institution has already collected its own answer scripts through its existing exam process — we do not set, conduct, or collect exams ourselves, and we do not knowingly collect personal data directly from students through this website.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us directly. When you book a live demo, request a sample evaluation report, or otherwise contact us, we collect what you submit: name, work email, organization, the service you're enquiring about, and the content of your message.

Answer scripts and rubric data. When a partner institution engages GradeSmith, it — not this website — provides scanned answer scripts, rubrics, and model answers for evaluation, and any student information contained in those scripts. This is governed by our agreement with that institution, not by a student's use of this website.

Basic technical data. Like most websites, our servers and hosting provider may log standard technical information (such as browser type and pages requested) needed to operate and secure the site. This marketing site does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

2. How we use information

• To respond to demo requests, enquiries, and sample-evaluation requests, and to follow up on a pilot or engagement.
• To operate the GradeSmith platform for a partner institution: transcribing scripts, applying the rubric that institution's examiners have approved, and returning marks, reasoning, and cohort insights.
• To maintain the security, integrity, and audit trail of the evaluation platform.
• To improve GradeSmith and to communicate updates relevant to an existing enquiry or engagement.

3. How answer-script data is protected

• Scripts are tokenised on ingestion — evaluation runs against an identifier, not a name or roll number.
• Every mark carries a per-question audit trail: the criterion it came from, the reasoning behind it, and any override, with who made it and when.
• Scripts and results stay inside the platform unless the institution's own administrator exports them.
• Sample scripts shared with us for a demo or pilot are processed under NDA and deleted on request.
• Final authority over every mark always rests with the institution's examiners — GradeSmith's evaluation is a first pass they confirm or adjust, never a replacement for that authority.

4. How we share information

We do not sell personal data. We share information only: with the partner institution that submitted the scripts or rubric in question; with service providers who help us host and operate the platform, under confidentiality obligations; or where required to comply with law or a valid legal process.

5. Data retention

Enquiry and demo-request details are kept only as long as needed to respond and follow up. Answer scripts and evaluation data are retained according to our agreement with the relevant institution, and demo or sample scripts are deleted on request, consistent with section 3 above.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you or your institution are located, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold. To exercise any of these rights, or to ask a question about this policy, contact us at contact@gradesmith.ai.

7. Children's privacy

GradeSmith is used by universities, examination boards, school networks, and coaching institutes to evaluate student answer scripts. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from students through this website. Any student data contained within scripts submitted for evaluation is provided by, and handled under our agreement with, the partner institution responsible for that student.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time as GradeSmith evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
